Coach Bobby Sanders is a former college basketball player who holds multiple records at his alma mater, Houston Baptist University. He is the career leader for most three pointers made in a season and most three pointers made in a single game. Sanders was named to the HBU All-Decade Team for the 90's and coached at HBU for one year following his playing career. His recent awards include Houston Chronicle Coach of the Year, Vype Magazine Coach of the Year, and District Coach of the Year. He has a passion for teaching players how to shoot, and shooting instruction is an integral part of his camps.

Following his time at HBU, Sanders became the head basketball coach at River Oaks Baptist School in Houston. He spent three years there and then became the head coach at Episcopal High School in Bellaire, where he spent 12 years. During his career, Sanders has amassed over 400 wins and coached over 30 college bound players, including a current NBA player. He was named the 2006 Private School Coach of the Year by the Texas Association of Basketball


In the summer, Coach Sanders frequently travels with Campus Crusade’s sports ministry, Athletes in Action. He has coached college teams in China and Puerto Rico and has led coaching and player clinics in India and Africa. He has also served as the

Basketball Camp Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ Texas A&M camp for the past 10 years. Coach Sanders is the head men’s basketball coach at a 6A high school in the area that reached the state championship game in 2018.


The camp staff is made up of high school and junior high coaches and former college and high school players who love basketball.  Each camp coach is committed to making sure every camper gets plenty of individual instruction. If a camper wants to improve, he or she will have plenty of opportunities and assistance.


Bobby Sanders Basketball Camps are designed to be fun, competitive and valuable in helping players get better. The goal is to give campers the proper tools to take home and work on the rest of the summer. When a player leaves camp, he or she will have the knowledge and mastery of countless drills that will target his or her biggest areas of need. The atmosphere at camp is energetic, motivating and competitive. Campers and coaches will demonstrate great sportsmanship and use the skill of positive encouragement throughout the week.
